Atlantis caters for all different budgets.

If money is not an issue you can choose to stay at the ultra luxurious Cove.

The Royal is described as the "the icon of Atlantis". It features the awe-inspiring mythology of the Lost City of Atlantis risen from the sea.

The Coral is described as a relaxed. It features newly designed rooms with easy access to Sun & Ice, a Bahamian pastry, coffee, ice cream and gelato parlour as well restaurants and the Marina Village.

The Beach is the ideal place for you if you just want to go barefoot and relax and enjoy your stay. It's also very budget friendly.

The Reef is liked by many. It features the conveniences of your home, but with the amenities of a luxury residential community.

Harborside. We love these villas. When we visited Atlantis we chose to stay at Harborside because it's like a fully furnished apartment with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, living room and a great view from the bedroom.

What To Do

Atlantis Bahamas is a place to have fun with your family. Besides the many beautiful beaches that can be easily accessed, there are many activities at the resort that you can enjoy.

Visit Dolphin Cay. As the good folks at Atlantis points out. "Dolphin Cay is not an aquarium, it's not an entertainment facility, and it doesn't stage marine shows."

So what is it? It's a marine habitat dedicated to conservation, rehabilitation and education.

Interesting story. It was "opened in 2007 in response to a need to provide a safe haven for 17 stranded dolphins whose home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina".

The Aquaventure Waterpark. Most families who visit Atlantis spend the majority of their time at the water park.

Nikki and I also did the same when we visited. We just had so much fun.

Aquaventure, the name of the water park features Atlantean-themed towers housing high-speed water slides, a mile-long river ride with rolling rapids and wave surges (one of our favorites), 20 swimming areas, a kids water-play fort and 11 swimming pools.

You can also snorkel, scuba, snuba, go on a shark adventure, try a stingray experience, snorkel the Ruins of Atlantis and sea squirts.

There are a lot more activities, but we can't list them all.

Where To Eat And Drink

There are many places you can dine at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. The options include both fine and casual dining, but there are also cafes and outlets where you can get a quick bite.

For fine dining you can check out Fish by José Andrés, Nobu, Chop Stix, Cafe Martinique, Bahamian Club, Casa D'Angelo, Olives and Seafire Steakhouse.

Casual dining restaurants include Sip Sip, Frankie Gone Bananas (One of our favorites. Great especially if you're looking for Bahamian dishes), Pirate Republic, Mosaic, Poseidon's Table, Carmine's, Virgil's BBQ, Murray's Deli, Lagoon Bar & Grill, The Village Burger Shack and The Point Restaurant & Bar.

Sun & Ice (ice cream, gelato and sorbet), McKenzie's, Cave Grill, Dive In, Shark Bites and Plato's are just some of the cafes you can pick up a quick snack or a light meal.
